1 nerd seeking another - Making wallpapers

Go to solution Solved by Kilrah,

How often have you seen a reference to a 4096x2160 PC monitor or TV?

They basically don't exist. That resolution is "cinema" but isn't used anywhere in the consumer world.

If I'm making wallpapers for desktops should I be doing 4k or true 4k

exp. 3840 x 2160 or 4096 x 2160

so one does it matter and two what's preferred?

good point, was just playing around with it and it seems that the true 4k images sides are just slightly cut off. but also solid point I just looked it up and I don't think many people have $5k monitors.

Better to  make a  higher resolution wallpaper as 4k may be come a standard of people may wanna crop it so more pixels the better

Polygons? textures?  samples? You want it? It's yours, my friend, as long as you have enough Vram.
Hey heads up I  have writing disorder I try my best but still make errors.
