i NEED a pc

Go to solution Solved by Solitus,

Also based in Bulgaria here - get an idea of the kind of specs you're after and keep a regular eye on Facebook marketplace. With the amount of students over here, you regularly come across some pretty good deals from people selling for quick cash / due to moving away.

If you're happy buying some it used, I reckon you can easily get something like this in your budget:
Ryzen 5 5600X / 16GB DDR4 / 1080Ti or 3060

Rest of it like the case, PSU, etc. get somewhere like pro-bg cheap but good enough to do the job.

Not sure where's best for monitors, usually plenty of decent ones on OLX though.

Budget (including currency): my budget is 500 usd or 950 bulgarian lev (sorry its 1000 bulgarian lev)

Country: bulgaria

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: roblox, terraria, minecraft

Other detailsi have a mouse and keyboard and monitor AND headphones. Im upgrading from gtx 1050 ti, and i5-3330, 8 gb's of ddr3 ram and 2 hdd's (idk what the hdds are), im going to buy it withing 3-4 months 1080p and no less than 90 hz

I'd recommend holding off on planning anything now until you're ready to buy. Prices now may not be the same in 3 or 4 months when you're ready to buy.

$500 USD, assuming your country's market is comparable, should afford an RX 6600 and lower end Ryzen or Intel, like a 14100F or R5 5600. You'd really not want to go below that, so if any, expanding your budget to afford so. Otherwise, second hand market, but that's probably not as robust in a country like Bulgaria compared to North America.

As @Skiiwee29 pointed out, things could be drastically different in 3-4 months, but if any, an RX 6600 and its competitors should still be within the ballpark even 3-4 months from now.

why not go below 14100f with atleast 13/12100f? performance difference is miserable and it saves some money for this pretty budget

The prices of such aren't always different and in some places you can't guarantee that a 12100f will still be available versus newer generation products. Sometimes they're more expensive simply due to compatibility with older motherboard UEFI since some older LGA1700 motherboards might not POST with a 14100f but will with a 12100f.

Its nuanced and entirely dependent on the current market, 3-4 months from now, a 12100f might not even exist in anywhere but North America. Otherwise, yes, and also considering the 13100f.

I personally have a 12100f and RX 6600 build I built in an Asrock Deskmeet that cost about $600 total (I was able to reuse some spare parts and I don't use the included PSU since I had a spare SFX one laying around). That's not a recommendation of the Deskmeet for a gaming PC though, since it requires mods and an SFX PSU swap to successfully dissipate the 200W draw of those specs but is fine with an Arc A380 (for a ~$500 total system).

That top listing being a great example, 12100 isn't the best, but considering that rig comes with an RX 6600 XT, I'd consider that a good pre-built option. DIY new or used parts might be able to squeeze more value out of it, but that's a decent benchmark for the region's used market.

@budgetballer69 I'd give consideration to something like this if you're willing to deal with the used market. I personally stick to new parts, but given the budget, you could get a lot of value with a bit of a gamble. Also worth looking at the 12400f or R5 5600, just steer clear of anything Ryzen before that, including the R5 5500 (which is effectively an 5600G with the iGPU disabled). 12100(f) being the lowest you can with LGA 1700, which is what you'd want to stick to, being Intel 12th/13th/14th. Anything before that is just not worth it in 2024 unless its a killer deal for a high end 10th/11th gen CPU.

the words about getting 12400f instead of 12100f makes me feel like my pc is outdated

If your 10100f doesn't let you enable resizable bar for your A380, then yes, you're probably losing like 50% performance on that A380. Jumping to LGA1700 would be worth it for you. I've tested the A380 on both the 12100f and my 7950x3D and its very capable for its price, but it absolutely needs ReBAR enabled for good performance, something Intel recommends too.

so what cpu and gpu combo do i get?

I'd look at the RX 6600 series or RTX 3060/ti, depending on what each costs in your region. CPU wise, you're looking at budget AM4 or LGA 1700. All of that could be had for $500 USD with the right market conditions.

Someone else can PCpartpicker for your region, that was a tool I never adopted so my knowledge is mostly limited to US markets with the general idea that things are more expensive relatively in other regions.
