i NEED a pc

Go to solution Solved by Solitus,

Also based in Bulgaria here - get an idea of the kind of specs you're after and keep a regular eye on Facebook marketplace. With the amount of students over here, you regularly come across some pretty good deals from people selling for quick cash / due to moving away.

If you're happy buying some it used, I reckon you can easily get something like this in your budget:
Ryzen 5 5600X / 16GB DDR4 / 1080Ti or 3060

Rest of it like the case, PSU, etc. get somewhere like pro-bg cheap but good enough to do the job.

Not sure where's best for monitors, usually plenty of decent ones on OLX though.

The plan is to get a new monitor a year or so after I get the PC

Nice - in that case, I've seen the following today which should get you a great experience playing the games you listed in the OP:

GTX 1080Ti - lots available around 350lv on FB Marketplace
Ryzen 5 3600 (6core, 12thread @ 3.6ghz) + ASRock B450M Pro4 - 279lv on OLX

Leaves you around 350lv for RAM, PSU, case and SSD
Prices below are if you get them new on Pro-BG, so may be able to find better deals than this:

AeroCool cases - 55/60lv, comes with 2/3 fans and a tempered glass window
Kingston Fury 3200Mhz CL16 (2x8GB) - 85lv, and can always buy another set later to increase to 32GB
Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB - 100lv, good value NVME for your OS / key applications
Corsair CX650 PSU - 120lv, ideally you'd go 700-800watts, but 650 will do fine

So pretty much bang on budget with lots of options for future upgrades, subject to a better PSU.

I'd probably try getting a B550 motherboard and a slightly beefier PSU if you can find a bargain.

This will do you fine for the games you've mentioned though 🙂

That's pretty decent, although only 4 cores for gaming in 2024 may not be the best option.

Also (personal opinion) AM4 gives you better upgradability in the future.

May be a "dead" platform but you can eventually go up to 5800X3D, which should be fine for gaming for many years.

I have a gtx 1050 ti so upgrading to a gtx 1080 ti won't really be worth it (I think)

I also found a 1660 super for 280lv

It's a massive difference to the 1050ti. You get 11gb vram instead of 4 and aside from the power consumption it's somewhere around the 3060/3060ti performance-wise.

I've been using the 3060ti but the 8gb vram is the main thing holding it back, even then comfortably gets 120+ frames at 1440p in most titles on med to high settings (maxed on some).

Ideally you want 12/16gb for new releases at good resolution or FPS, which is where the 1080ti would still do fairly well on the titles you mentioned. Something newer would be a lot more power efficient for sure though.
