Why am I having this I2C problem in my Aspire E 15 (E5-571-5706) laptop? Is there any solution? Help me get a effective solution for this problem.

I am not sure if this is related or not but I physically opened and closed my laptop (although I carefully plugged all the cables I unplugged) and since then i couldn't use my touchpad.

I2C is the bus used for interface devices among other things, so yes i believe this is your problem, have you tried updating the drivers for it?

I don't know how to do it.
I downloaded SERIAL IO driver from here https://www.acer.com/us-en/support/product-support/Aspire_E5-571/downloads
But I don't know anything about configuring it.

Should just be able to hit run and itll do most of it for you if you have it downloaded already

You can also right click and troubleshoot, though ive found that rarely works but its worth a try

Nothing worked till now.

But I want to clear some things to you. I am currently using Windows 11 and the Serial IO driver provided by acer for my laptop model is for windows 10. Will there be any problem with it?

Moreover, in BIOS main tab I pressed CTRL+S but nothing worked and I am currently using latest version (1.32) of BIOS provided by Acer.

id see if you can get a win11 version of it if its available but i dont think there will be an issue as its like a firmware update, but i just honestly dont know in that regard

Also, what should CTRL+S do?
