Budget (including currency): $600 USD

Country: Morocco

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mainly for deep learning, adobe photoshop and cinema 4d, maybe Unreal Engine. Sometimes games like PUBG and COD warzone.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

    Motherboard: AORUS PRO Z390

    CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K (5GHz)

    RAM: 16GB Ballistix DDR4 3000MHz

    PSU: EVGA 850W 80PLUS

    Storage: 256GB SSD kingston

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 air cooler

    Case: NZXT H510 Airflow

i'm planning to get an RTX 3060 12gb right after i buy this setup, it is used, from someone in my city.

Is this a good system for the money?

No, without a GPU it ain't worth more than $500 imo

You can get a better new build for less...

Interesting, it confirms the feeling that i may be paying too much for the system, i just liked it for the pro motherboard for future upgrades, nice CPU and the 850w good brand power supply.

i've included a quote for another system as new, the prices are in (MAD) which is around $1usd=10mad.
Is this better? i'm skeptical about the aerocool PSU.

(please note that prices in morocco are more expensive than Europe or USA due to import taxes and such)

11700k is a no go for me in 2024, it's 3 gens behind and not a good gen to begin with

You won't be able to overclock it on a B560 board, but still need a decent cooler

For the same price you can get a 5700X, much better overall ; the 5000 series is "only" 1 gen behind but still alive, and you'd stll be able to upgrade to a X3D chip later (or a 5950X if you fancy productivity apps)

No reason to pay new part price for 4 year old pc.

get ryzen 5600 or intel 12th gen, and no reason to get overkill motherboard if you don't plan to upgrade or are getting best cpu for platform

Bwaaah it's even older, and more expensive, the weak GPU is worth only maybe $80 😞

With a 5600G APU and no GPU you'll only be able to play very light games at 720p, not very good

Can't you replace the 5600G by a 5600 and add a RX6600 GPU ?

i'm getting a new RTX 3060 12gb from a brand called MAXSUN GeForce RTX 3060 iCraft OC edition 12gb, it has 1 year warranty and it costs $367 +free delivery.
i need NVIDIA for my AI models to be compatible, that's why i'm getting the lowest best GPU with the most amount of VRAM.

Do you think i should pull the trigger on the build? Do you think the MAXSUN GPU is a good reliable brand and a good price? The seller said MAXSUN is better than MSI.

The goal is to run AI models and the adobe suite, mostly photoshop and after effects, plus a bit of FPS gaming on the weekends.

BTW i'm really appreciative of your input, because of you i'm going with AMD CPU instead of intel, didn't know it had good performance for the price and the upgrade-ability is also possible with a 5950X down the line.

Thank you very much in advance!!!

idk much about Maxsun, it's a Chinese AIB not selling in Europe, but they look "normal"

Anyway rather get a non G CPU, the G are slower

decided to swap the ryzen for a 7 5700x, PSU for corsair 750e 80+ gold, and an MSI ventus x2 3060 12gb, what do you think?  i think this is the final choice before i pull the trigger today.
