Hey Guys,

I posted this one before and never really got the fix since I was also asking about my high CPU temperature. Anyway, Google Chrome has been acting really weird for the passed month. Okay so here's the thing, before it was only saying that shockwave flash has crashed but lately the whole browser crashes when I leave the browser on for about 5 mins or sometimes less. I already checked if it was something about my RAM that was causing chrome and flash to crash but no signs that it's my RAM since all applications are working fine except for Google Chrome. It's getting really frustrating that it crashes all the time, I am already leaning towards fresh installing my os to fix this issue. Hopefully someone can help me regarding my issues.

James

this is the first thing I did when it happened still did not do it :(

try out google chrome in another windows account.

Just make a new admin account and try to use that account for a while to see if it fixes the issue

Sometimes things as simple as that can fix a lot of bugs I've found from personal experience

a factory reset is a pain in the ass and a waste of time so try everything possible before doing that (or you know, you could just switch to firefox or something :P)

Will try this one and update you guys on the progress. I'm already using firefox (not that often though only for watching netflix), the only reason why I am not switching yet is because how easy it is to sync my google account with all of my devices using google chrome.

Go with Waterfox if you have 64 bit system ~ performs like a charm! :)

I know this is a bit off topic, but is it better then Opera? I have a 64bit system, but I do also have Firefox and chrome, which have not failed me yet

Opera Next is very good with HTML5 native content ~ but when you have a lot of tabs open Waterfox wins the race. Its just snappier and it just works.

So should I install it then? Considering I have about 6-8 tabs on both Firefox and chrome at the same time? I could just shove them all into waterfox then could I?

Yeah, give it a try... but only 6-8 tabs never affect browser performance drastically...Do you scan your PC regularly? It might be some virus/ malware/ adware making your PC response slow.

If Shockwave's crashing, here's one thing that might help.

Go to

chrome://plugins

Click on details (top left corner)

It should look something like this:

On my chrome, I have Shockwave twice, Chrome's and Adobe's plugin for it.

If you have multiple ones, choose one (I'd use the Chrome one), and disable the rest (by clicking on the disabled button).

Try that to see if it changes anything
