I’m planning to save up to 1600 for this pc build. Can someone double check if these parts go together? I currently have 800 would it be smart to buy some of those components now? Or buy it all at once, once I have all of the money for it. For example the cpu before it increases in prices or the case before the discount runs out?

We need to know more about your usage

Regarding buying some parts,

- you can get earlier some that don't get obsolete quickly esp. on a discount, that's PSU, coolers, fans, KB/M peripherals and case - ie non electronics/silicon parts

- atm it seems SSD and RAM prices should explode in a few months, so it may be wise to get these now

- For CPU GPU boards and monitor their price always go down with time (unless exceptional events like worldwide pandemics or mining craze), so buy them last

Hi!

Prices (generally speaking) are only ever dropping on single components. Don't buy parts over a long period.

If you know you're going to be in a position to buy all soon, and you see one on worthwhile discount, then sure! Pick it up for the bargain.

What will be the primary uses of your PC?

More for work, maybe some gaming here and there.

A 4070S is quite expensive for "some gaming" 🙂

What games and resolution ?

Then what gpu should I use? I got this build recommended to me, would you recommend a cheaper option? But still using the same thing for everything else. Same cpu, same motherboard and such. Please

Depends on games and resolution, playing CS at 1080p or CP2077 at 4K have pretty different requirements...

I think ima use a 240hz 1080p monitor or maybe a 1440 165hz. But which ever would be best for this such as regular everyday use not focusing on gaming as much. Which ever quality monitor would be best for overall picture quality and color, I would pick. Even if it impacts gaming performance or quality.

maybe this one? MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDRR6 128-Bit HDMI/DP Nvlink TORX Fan 4.0 Ada Lovelace Architecture Graphics Card (RTX 4060 Ventus 2X White 8G OC) or MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 12GB 15 Gbps GDRR6 192-Bit HDMI/DP PCIe 4 Torx Twin Fan Ampere OC Graphics Card. I don't know if they are compatible though. Double check

Still no idea of what games you're playing...

For work, res and image quality don't matter that much, unless doing 3D/graphics design

Only thing is to have a res consistent with the monitor size, 40" 1080p looks like sh#t and 23" 4K is useless

I would play games like Fortnite, red dead redemption 2, subnatica and val. So what monitor would you suggest with a cheaper gpu of your choice.

More so editing, college work, and photoshop

Ok so I'd say a good 1440p monitor and a 4070S ($600) or 7800XT (a bit cheaper under $500)

A monitor like a Gigabyte M27Q $270 would be good imo

4K monitors look better but costs more and needs a top powerful GPU in games like RDR2

Would the 7800xt  be compatible with my build? If I just swap out the other gpu https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WNmvvj
