mic wont work on pc suddenly

My microphone wont work on pc, it works on fine on ipad. Windows recognizes it and everything but it doesnt have any output, the headset works normally apart from this though. any tips?

yes its worked before, it´s a havit2002d

Take a screenshot of the the following

> right click the volume icon

>click " sounds "

>now click "recording tab" 

check if the microphone is picked up and make sure that your microphone isn't muted on the headphone itself. It shows that hardwired headphone of yours can mute the microphone.

Also make sure the mic is plugged in al the way.

you could try replugging everything in more "tighter" perhaps the mic isn't activating cause one of the ground rings for the 3.5mm aren't all the way in for the headset connected to the PC, not Mic to Headset
