how to connect a egpu with 1070 to my laptop which has a 1070 which is faulty

so my laptop is a Meta Box laptop its a pa71es and it has thunderbolt 3, i need to connect my laptop to it without enabling the faulty 1070 inside my laptop, and i do have a thunderbolt cable
