ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506HE Not Turning On

Windows 11, version 10.0.22631 build 22631
BIOS version FX506HE.311

My laptop was working fine yesterday, but today it won't turn on. Power button lit up the first time I pressed it, but then it was jut black.

I disconnected the battery, and the laptop works fine on AC power. When the battery is installed, the laptop won't turn on at all.

Is the issue with the battery?
Could it be a problem with the motherboard?
