Steelseries 7H usb or non USB

yandaman

Was looking at getting a pair of Steelseries 7H's as above but I've been trying to find out what the difference between the USB and non USB is?

Non-USB is just analog and doesn't come with the dongle. If you're using a separate sound card then just get the analog version. I believe the non-USB is cheaper.

Ah okay, so the sound card on my mobo would be enough to power it fine then? About 50 GBP cheaper, or 100 USD cheaper on the UK amazon

Same question, should I buy SteelSeries H7 (3,5mm) and a good sound card? Will this headsets benefit from an sound card?.

I have the same question about the CM storm Sirus 5.1 headset, will it benefit from an sound card?

If it's analog, it will benefit from the sound card.

USB is mainly for people who travel and use their headsets so they have the same sound experience wherever they go (lan)
