How do I increase my OBS Base Canvas over 4k?

hey guys! I'm looking into increasing the base canvas on OBS. i currently am rocking a logitech stream cam and its great! but the are times when editing my stream for youtube i want to zoom in on myself cam. but when doing so even at 4k i cant get the full resolution that the camera can output (1080p). so i was thinking i could increase the base canvas so i can get the most out of my setup and just scale everything to frame. im thinking if i can get the base canvas to 8k i should be squared away. but i cant set it above my monitor's resolution.

my current specs are:

R9 7950x

64gbs ddr5 5600

RX 7900xt

im hoping i can find some kind of plugin or mess with the settings but i cant figure it out.

thanks guys

You can override the values in the resolution selection dropdown manually.

Good luck actually recording at that resolution. Seems kinda wasteful to record at such a high resolution just to zoom into a webcam. Have you tried running multiple instances of OBS (you might need to use one instance of the installed version and one instance of the portable version) and just record your webcam separately at full quality? Then you can just sync up the webcam footage afterwards in the editing software and switch between video tracks.

thanks for the help! its mostly an experiment, but running a second instance of obs might work better.
