I have too many m.2s I want to move them to a single 4tb

Hi all, 

So I Currently have too many m.2s in my rig, about 4 that I want to move to a 4tb m.2 I want to buy.

Each Current m.2 has got multiple installed games and files with the directory leading to its drive letter (I,J,K and L) 

I want to replace all of those and put them into 1 to clean up my MBs m.2 spaces which may help with my gpu performance? I'm not sure.

Also would it be seamless or would I have to reinstall any games?

What 4TB SSD your ant to buy? 
I recommend something good.

SN850x, 990 pro, KC3000, etc. 
 

you could also just do a JBOD on them ( but that will delete all data on them ).

Unknown with other services.

You think making partition on the new m.2 and cooking each drive would work ? Would it drop in performance?

Windows is on a separate m.2, I want to remove the other 4 m.2s in my pc and put them all in 1.

The easiest way to do this is to connect the new SSD externally, create a single partition, make the folder where steam will be putting the games in, add it to steam and then start moving all the games from each drive over through steam until each game has been moved and you can then install the drive internally.

 

Or you could copy the contents of one drive over to get the base structure and then take the contents of the steamapps/common folders from the remaining drives into the same folder on the new drive and hope that when you add the new drive to steam that it doesn't throw a hissy fit and spend the next several hours sorting stuff out.

Install Windows to the 4TB NVME.

Install Steam.

Attach the other NVMEs to external dock.

Use steam copy function to move games from the external to the internal 4TB.

???

Majority of my games are not through steam
