Want to know if puting my laptop with this stand on top of my case might be a bad idea

Hopefully I'm asking this under the right category, but since upgrading my secondary monitor of my dual setup I no longer really have enough room on my desk to keep my laptop right in front of and below my secondary monitor on it's stand as a sort of alternate secondary screen without there being a significant risk of me accidentally opening my lid into that monitor and scratching or scuffing it. As pictured below, I thought putting my laptop with its stand on top of my case might be a good idea since I really like that positioning for it, but I'm wondering if leaving a load like that on top of that part of the case is a good idea. Airflow clearance seems to be good since the stand keeps the laptop a good 6" above my pc and the stand itself doesn't block much air at all with its bottom. The stand is on its rubber feet so it shouldn't scratch the case either. If this setup isn't a good idea, is there anything else I can do to keep my laptop in a similar position? (Case is a full tower corsair 7000D airflow)

Watch your desktop temps under load to see if there is any significant difference, but doubt you'll see a big difference in thermals. IE I expect this is going to be just fine for you.
