Windows Welcome Screen on Laptop

Hello, 

I recently started to have an issue with my laptop, I have had it for a few years now. Whenever I input my password on the login screen it, the Welcome screen pops back up and then the entire screen goes black. Any suggestions or tips are appreciated!

Have you tried to boot into safe mode?
