Hi all,

I'm interested in buying a GTX 1660s that requires a 450w and I got a PSU which can provide 500w will be enough or my PC will crush?

Thank you

You answered your own question. You have a PSU that delivers more power than required.

You will be fine 🙂

I am running a GTX1660S with a 300W PSU no problem even though I overclocked the card to its maximum. Quality is what matters.

It depends, but most likely be fine.

A pretty sure way to know it'll be fine is whether or not you have to adapt the 8 pin PCIe AUX power connector. If you're having to adapt it, its possible the PSU has a split rail and can't supply 150W from a single 12V rail.

If you are adapting it, then its likely not a proper '500W' PSU since that usually entails how much it can supply from the 12V rail. Still possible that its not an issue since the card appears to only draw 150W, so as long as all 12V rails are at least that, then it'll likely be fine. Split rails like that most likely separate the CPU and peripherals, so as long as both are >150W, you'll be fine.
