Run audio from two devices through one pair of headphones?

Hi all. I have a Steam Deck and a Surface Pro, and I'd like to have the audio of both simultaneously running through my bluetooth headphones. People have told me you should be able to connect the tablet to the Steam Deck via Bluetooth, then the headphones to the Steam Deck, but I can't get the Deck and tablet to connect, as the tablet calls the Steam deck an "unknown device" and fails connection.

 

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to things like this, so I'd appreciate if anyone could figure out how to do this, and guide me through it.
