PSU high pitch noise

shod1213

Hi,

I recently upgraded my pc (RTX 4070, RM850e) (and an old i7 10700)

i keep hearing an high piched noise from the power supply (i did check and it is from the power supply)

the noise is audible even when the power supply fan is not spinning.

I could really use some advices on how to fix/mitigate it and if u could add an explanation on why is this happaning . (RMA is a problem for me)

Thanks!

You can test if its still present without the GPU installed. Is it whining even when PC sits idle and does it change pitch under load?

CPU: Ryzen 5800X3D | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Elite V2 | RAM: G.Skill Aegis 2x16gb 3200 @3600mhz | PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G3 | Monitor: LG 27GL850-B , Samsung C27HG70 |
GPU: Red Devil RX 7900XT | Sound: Odac + Fiio E09K | Case: Fractal Design R6 TG Blackout |Storage: MP510 960gb and 860 Evo 500gb | Cooling: CPU: Noctua NH-D15 with one fan

FS in Denmark/EU:

Asus Dual GTX 1060 3GB. Used maximum 4 months total. Looks like new. Card never opened. Give me a price.

I need to test it, but so far i noitced that under load there is less noise and idle cause more noise

Can be coil wine or fan noise. It's normal for a Corsair RMe.
