Flicker during loading screen in games

I noticed in games like rdr2 and cyberpunk during the loading screen my screen can flicker like maybe 2 times. It like goes black for half a second then comes back its so quick, is this normal? I dont recall this happening on my older build but maybe i didnt focus really to notice it. My monitor is a g7 odyssey running at 240hz 1440p with gsync on. Im using the dp cable it comes with. I did try disabling gsync ans vrr and adaptive sync and then limiting refresh rate to 60hz and still didnt work. I just wanna know is this a gpu issue or is it just normal for monitors to do that?

The default cable provided by Samsung in Odyssey series is bad quality. You should change it.

 

I am ex owner of Samsung Odyssey Neo G8, Neo G9 and current owner of Odyssey OLED G9.

 

The only high quality cable provided by Samsung is Micro DP cable, the rest is very bad.

So in general, these flickers arent like a faulty gpu or anything? I did try switching the game to my msi mag241c 1080 144hz monitor and saw the same stutters but im guessing maybe the flickers like transfer? Also im using the default cable that came with the msi monitor as well

For your MSI shouldn’t as it is only 144hz.

 

I start facing such issue only after I change to 240hz monitor running at 240hz.  No issue also when run at 120hz.

 

I don’t see is GPU issue as I had using RTX 3080 and later change to RTX4090, those give me such issue cable still give me same issue. Problem only solved after I change to better quality certified cable.

I also had a 3080 and then upgraded to 4090 and started to notice these, i guess it could be the cable

Try change cable and see how.

 

I had change twice, first change even worst than original

 

After that, I decide buy certified cable.

i tried disabling my 4090 in the device manager and enabling the igpu in the 7950x3d and disconnected all my monitors from my 4090 and connected the main monitor on my HDMI port in the mobo which basically uses the integrated graphics and still had the issue, does this isolate the gpu as being the problem? keep in mind the gpu was still in the pcie slot and the pcie power connector was connected however the gpu was disabled in device manager and wasnt being used at all even in game my frames were terrible due to the use of igpu

This test proven it is by GPU issue.  Now try new cable.

how is it a gpu issue? i literally disabled the gpu and still had the issue?
