Hello there, I dont really know what to put here or say but I need help. A few days ago I moved my pc into a new case also adding a new cooler. When I removed the old cooler the cpu came with it... I did get it off by using a heat gun and razor blade, so cleaned it up and slapped it back it. I have now been playing games and I am running into some issues like sound will cut out for a few seconds (longest has been about 45 seconds to a full minute) and the games will also sometimes freeze for about 3-5 seconds. This stuff only happens while gaming. A few notes are, the cpu is a AMD Ryzen 9 5900x, No pins were damaged, socket shouldnt be damaged, motherboard is an ASUS ROG Strix B 550-f wifi (I do use ethernet), The old cooler was a cooler master ML240L, And the New cooler is a Lian li Ga II Trinity, I have a 4070 64gigs of ram and 750 watt PSU so I dont think its a power issue. I really dont have the money to buy a new CPU so if theres anything i can do to fix this please help. Also Im new to the LTT thing so if this is not how this is used im sorry

If it were me, the first things that I would check is hardware. The possibility might be low, but since you physically move it. At least check them and if I'm not mistaken you already have. But is it so check all cables, if there's any spliced, cut or if the motherboard is touching any metallic forms in the new case. Normally, in case of shorts, the pc shuts off, but hey, I would still check it first.

In your situation, the send thing I would check, since it only happens during gaming. Is the temps. If it's higher than it use to, specially since you upgraded the aio, I would check the contact of the plate and remount the cpu. I would also make sure that the crews on the block isn't too tight. I would also reseat the rams and even try only one ram first.

Other things that you can check: front panel connections(power, reset, rgb, usb). Also try to disable or turn off the lian li app for your cooler if it's installed(too lazy to google the name). But yeah, I remember one of my buddies, having freezing issues because of it. Couldn't remember if it was really the issue or if it was already fixed.
