It will somewhat depend on the silicon quality and the motherboard you're using, but it's very rare that 4x8GB won't work at 3200 assuming all the DIMMs are the exact same.

After realizing my last stupid mistake i want to consult someone before i make another decision, can i run 4 sticks of 8gb ram at 3200 with the ryzen 5 3600, ik it doesnt support quad channel but could i run 4 sticks at dual channel at their listed speed with the 3600

More reliable at 2x16gb vs 4x8. Get yourself a 2x16 kit if you need 32gb.

Already have a pc and i already have the 4x8 but with a 1600, was just wondering if its possible to run the 4 sticks at their listen speed with the 3600

Only one way to find out, but my gut tells me unlikely. You might be able to get 3200, but even then that could be a challenge with a 4x due to the Ryzen IMC. Its never played well with 4x kits so you may end up likely around the 3000MT/s range.

That board I wouldn't expect to do 3600MT/s, but 3200MT/s should probably work.

The kit is 3200 either way, heard i wouldnt get over 3000 so im worried the 3600 wont be good enough

I had a 3700x on a Gigabyte B550M DS3H Micro ATX with Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18

and it would only do 3200MHz reliably.

AMD 5000 series seems to do well with four sticks though.

The memory controller on the 3600 is quite good. On a good board, most CPUs can do 4000MT/s in 4x8GB. The board you have is going to be the limiting factor, and unless the DIMMs were bought at different times it's technically possible that they're different even if the model numbers are the same, though it's still likely to work.

This makes no sense. AMD didn't change the memory controller between Ryzen 3000 and 5000, they will clock memory the exact same. There was more than likely an issue with the board and/or memory config causing your problem rather than the CPU not being able to handle 3600.
