Hello, I have a B-365M-PLUS motherboard from my iBUYPOWER pre-built (i5-9400f, 8gb ddr4 single channel 2666mhz) and I tried to upgrade my ram to a nice 16gb 2666mhz corsair Vengeance kit from Amazon. It worked the first time I booted into bios to check the update and then I rebooted and it wouldn't post. I'm trying to connect something to the debug speaker port to try and hear the beeps but I don't have a speaker. Could I take apart earbuds or something?

P.S. I found another thread on here with my EXACT situation, down to the pre-built and kit of ram but there was never a solution listed and only 2 or so messages that were suggesting the normal debugging methods like reseating the ram and changing slots, which I have done multiple times and I've also gone back to my old ram.

Thanks!

Have you done a BIOS reset/ CMOS clear?

Preferably try that with the old RAM and see if you can get it to post again.

There is approximately a 117% chance I edited my post.

I tested the difference between my old and new ram:

- putting in my old ram made my usb devices (keyboard mouse) not light up but my power button required a long press like it was booted into windows, still had no output though

- my new ram made my USB light up but only a short press turned it off and still no video output. I tried both one at a time and the corsair did the same thing one at a time and both in at once.
