Headphone with amp

Mewkss

Hey guys I’m trying to get a new headset and I was wondering if anyone knows if the DT 990 pro 250 ohm will work with the elgato wave xlr.

Amusingly there's a blog post that answers this exact question.

edit: posted the link without actually verifying if it was useful

Keep in mind that the 990 series are open-backed headphones, so there will be a lot of sound leakage, and you will not be very isolated if you're in a noisy environment. Not enough sound leakage to be picked up by microphones though.

77mw @ 16ohms is essentially nothing, they will drive almost nothing.

My portable headphone amp stomps on them up and down and even has a somewhat difficult time with a couple of my IEM's and that runs on a battery.

I don't understand stat's and numbers but I know enough to say that you might as well plug any headphone into a potato and listen to it's longing for the love of it's life aka dirt

Am I missing something here?

When the article link for specs goes to a video that refers you to the description which is a link that gives only price and where to buy, I don't know how much I trust that source.
