Can't redirect website?

I just bought a Domain off SquareSpace, just to read this:

Why is this? I can only redirect the URL with a subdomain, the only reason I bought a Domain was to re-direct it to another website, not use a subdomain to redirect. Now I am thinking if I could get a template and delete it and somehow add some custom code to re-direct it when the website loads.

This is why it's important to confirm the domain registrar supports what you're trying to do before purchasing the domain.

 

At this point, I would look into moving the domain name to another registrar that supports forwarding, like Hover or Cloudflare.
