Hi folks!

It's me again! We're exploring a sponsorship opportunity with Jawa.gg, a market place for PC components for gamers. They will directly purchase your parts so you don't have to worry about doing the whole eBay upload a picture and reply to inquiries thing. Obviously, you would get a better price just trying to sell things privately, but the connivence is intriguing.

Please do let me know if you have any experiences with the platform!

*Please note that our team does our own research and testing around vetting sponsor products and services. However, we've found that soliciting feedback from the community can sometimes add something new to the conversation that we weren't aware of*

I don't have any first hand experience with the company, but after reviewing their return policy I would avoid ever doing business with them on buyer's end.

We will give you a full refund if your item never ships or does not match the listing description. Otherwise, all sales are final. The order becomes non-refundable 48 hours after the item has arrived at your address.

In my opinion such a short return policy is unacceptable. Let's say, I purchase of GPU on their site. I now have 48 hours from the moment it hits my doorstep to: unbox the device, install it into my machine, ensure all drivers are installed appropriately, stress test the device (which can take upwards of 24h itself) troubleshoot any non-device specific issues I run into. Given the fact that jawa.gg admittedly sells "certified" GPUs previously used for mining, this sort of intensive testing by the buyer is very important. And this is the best case scenario.

This becomes an even bigger issue if I'm purchasing a fully built system from them. You're telling me I need to thoroughly test every component on the machine in that short timeframe? What if I'm trying to purchase multiple items to build a PC? Now I can't even test the component within the 48h window because I'm waiting on other components to arrive.

I understand there need to be some cutoff point for the funds to be released out of escrow, but 2 days simply isn't enough time. Given the fact that eBay exists and has very lenient return/refund policies I would avoid this site altogether. The buyer protections simply aren't strong enough. It's a step up from Craigstlist/FB Marketplace, I guess.

The best I can find on their site is they will directly purchase your GPU only, everything else is basically a PC focused ebay style marketplace but please correct me if I'm wrong.

30 days refund on used product, Ebay might as well be Jesus with how the competitors are in this regard. Agreed.

As a person who lives in a country where all the local online marketplace return/refund policy is pretty much the same, aka:

- Only have 3-4 days after item arrives, non refundable after that.

- Only refundable if item is not as listed (within time limit) or not received

I can tell you for sure that it is a TOTAL PAIN IN THE BUTT.

I hate it so much that I'd even vouch for not endorsing such practice, even if it's nowhere near me.

Hell, IIRC I got more time to test for stuffs I ordered from Aliexpress.
