Help GPU memory

Im confused I thought the higher the GB the card had the better but i have noticed 4 gb cards like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121866 being cheaper then 2gb cards like a 660 so what other factors are there that im missing thanks

oh crap, one more time, more memory doesn't mean more performance or more expensive a GTX760 has 2GB of ram but will perform 6x better than a Radeon 6450 witch has 2GB of Ram as well, why, because, of :

-the Chip

-the clock speeds

-the Gen

-the Architecture

-the Horse power

-....

and on it goes

The performance of a video card is determined by it's GPU core, the bus width,  and mostly price.

 

Video ram is no longer a thing to go off, in console la la land it might well be as they are mostly dumb as a sack of potatoes.

There is no such thing as "Horsepower" on gpu's 

 

That doesn't even makes any sense, later on we'll see some turbocharged V12 GTX Titans or something
