Do cpu's come with a backplate?

CPUs never came with a backplate. The way it's worked on AMD systems is that the motherboard itself comes with the backplate, and you're supposed to reuse that one.

So my current pc has a 5600x in it. My plan is to buy a 5800x3D, and then use the 5600x for a second pc. But here is my issue, the cpu cooler I just bought tells me to use the original amd backplate that came with the stock cooler. From what I have heard, cpu's these days don't come with a stock cooler anymore. Does this mean that I have to buy the backplate separately?

Thanks lol. It's been so long since I have build a pc I kinda forgot. I assumed it came with the cpu. That solves my problem because I will have to get a new motherboard for the second pc anyway.
