need help with XMP

Go to solution Solved by RONOTHAN##,

7200Mt/s is not a speed you actually want to use. Because of how the memory controller works, speeds above 6000MT/s are slower than speeds at or below 6000MT/s, so 7200 is slower in nearly every aspect than 6000 CL30.

Manually enter in the XMP parameters for 6000 CL30, that should just work, fix your issues, and you'll get a bit of a performance uplift at the same time as well

I recently built a pc that originally had the issue of not booting up when I enabled XMP (haivng a red DRAM light on motherboard), I then fixed this by updating the BIOS and all was fine for around 2 weeks till today when my pc wouldn't boot and the motherboard had a red DRAM light on. So I assume the issue is XMP and need help as to make XMP more stable.

Specs

CPU: ryzen 9 7900x
RAM: vengeance DDR5 7200MHz

Mother Board: b650 aorus elite ax

GPU: Radeon RX 7800 XT
