Gmail and Outlook drafts

Is it not possible to have drafts sync between Gmail and the Outlook software on my desktop? I do a lot of picking up email composing on the go and when back at home and have to have a mobile client that lets me do that. I do have Outlook on my mobile phone, but it's not great and I'd like ot give Gmail a go.
