Budget (including currency): $1000-1200 U.S. ( 1200 only if absolutely necessary)

Country: U.S.

Games, programs, or workloads that it will be used for: General games, unspecific other than probably Fortnite.

Other details: This is the current list. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jBmNxH

If you recommend any changes for parts so far please do. I think I'm gonna put my current gtx 1070 in it as he is 10 and will probably just be playing mostly Fortnite.

However, I'd like a gpu recomendation for my upgrade with the remaining budget. I'd like to stay intel and Nvidia as I am familiar with them and have built a few pc's with them, however if it would be far better price to performance I am willing to go amd of cpu and or gpu. ( Obviously thats all they make except ram built still)

Here is my current pc. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jJn928

I built it during covid and that's what If you're wondering about the 1070 price, thats all I could find on pcpartpicker, that is the gpu I have but the price is skued.

Also Additionally I'd like for someone to recommend a free way to get rid of my viruses and such as I have some that I can tell are slowing my PC but Idk how to get rid of them. If no one helps on that then it is fine as I am aware this wouldn't be the correct forum for that part.

Hi you made it to the right place, as for viruses I have no idea other to reinstall windows, but instead of the stock version you should get tiny11, it’s small light on your system an has no bloatware (it slows your system down), as for your pc I can’t help you there (I’m no expert on hardware troubleshooting)

tiny11 was reviewed by UFD tech: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZBUNuYygynk

Tiny11 download:

I’m very much in danger

what resolution are you playing at? If it's 1080p I'd say get something like a 4070 but if it's 1440p or 4k you could even go up to a 7900 xtx

You can start by using Windows / Microsoft Defender: Settings | Update & Security | Windows Security | Virus & threat protection. Under Current threats, Scan options select Full scan or Microsoft Defender Offline scan then Scan now.

A number of third part products also offer free for home use anti virus versions. You may also want to use a malware checker like Malwarebytes.

Thank you, if that's 843.73 that leaves the rest of the 1.2k for the graphics card. Any recomendation. Preferably Nvidia just for easy installment with drivers and such. ( Since my current GPU is the 1070)

Also Depending on his mom and dad ( I am paying for part and they will pay for the majority) due to that my range might actually be as low as 500 or as high as 2k. That includes my gpu upgrade as that was the deal. I was wondering if you might have some other recomendations based on those 2 price points. ( 2k would include my gpu, 500 I would keep my gpu and get him a new or used cheaper card ig.
