Which motherboard out of the three?

Have 3 of these motherboard shortlisted to change my current Asrock AM4 motherboard.

1. MSI B550 Gaming Plus

2. Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite V2 AX

3. Asrock B550 Steel legend

 

Please suggest only from these three as these are the only ones that fit my budget and use case.

I would get the MSI B550 Gaming Plus, its by far the most popular out of the 3 and its a very solid board.

That being said, all 3 will do the job equally well! You won't be able to tell what board you have when you got the system up and running, neither of these boards are bad.

I have the Elite, it's great.  Tech Deals recommends the Steel Legend all the time, and I trust his judgement.  And the MSI is popular.  So all 3 have a thumbs up from me.

I'd probably go for the Steel Legend, mostly because of that POST code, though the lack of BIOS Flashback is a bit of a downer depending on the CPU you're trying to run. 

 

Just curious as to why you're swapping your motherboard though. It's very rare for that to actually make sense to do, and you're almost certainly better off just putting that money to a future system upgrade.

The board is having some issue with memory slots and front power delivery, otherwise it's stable. I am selling it off for pennies to a second person who will RMA and use it.
Since I already have an AMD GPU so not upgrading yet, also will skip the first gen of AM5 to let them get a bit more matured for the next gen.

Why don't you RMA it then?  I am confused.

 

AM5 doesn't need to mature, it's been maturing since Zen 1.  Years.

The RMAing of Asrock takes too much time and I would rather buy another motherboard than wait.

And by maturing I mean there are still some bugs out there as is always with a new platform so don't want to invest in AM5 yet especially when the new lineup of AM4 X3D CPU's are coming out. I need a super stable system for my work which this Asrock was giving me for the past few years.

Okay, I'll back that.  While I've been rock solid on my 7700X, AORUS Pro AX, and G. Skill RAM setup... we'e seen others with issues .

 

Tho I am leaning toward it being more Corsair than AM5 at this point.   They're dropping the ball some reason.

Got the B550 Aorus Elite V2 (Non Wifi as I have a wifi card). Previously I thought that non-wifi was not available.

@Dedayog Hi, in your Aorus motherboard do the led's under the vrm heatsink blink for a fraction of a second when board receives power?

In my case when I switch on PSU power the led blinks white for a fraction of a second and then glows orange while pc is turned on. 

I watched a teardown and saw that there are two led's near the flashback button.

Thanks, it seems like there are couple of RGB Led's there that are doing that.

 

Thanks everybody for the suggestion. Really loving this new motherboard. VRM's are pretty cool compared to the previous Asrock.

Yeah, Gigabyte seems to have really nailed the B550 and B650 boards.   I've always loved them from the e4300 I had, can't remember the board tho.

 

They're my go to board.

Had one of their x370 Gaming Boards but it was pathetic. The voltage used to shoot up to 13V and most of the time Bios used to reset to Chinese. But now it seems like that they are stable.

Only thing that I find weird is that when starting PC the fans Ramp up to full speed then go down to 50% speed and then again ramp up to my set speed. Apart from these all else seems stable  didn't even have to reinstall Windows.
