More FPS

Haven_Alpha

Hey, I have a ryzen 5 3600, 1660 super, 16gb ram on a b450 tomahawk max and 650w PSU.

I want something new so I get more FPS. I asked some questions about a new GPU but people told me that the r5 3600 won't be able to reach 240fps. So i thought about getting a new CPU. Can you tell me what's the best way to increase my FPS by getting something new(hardware)?

Then I'd say upgrade your gpu first. To a 6700 xt or a 7800 xt if you can really push it. Then you can upgrade your cpu later to a 5800X3D

OR if you have a microcenter nearby then get a 5600x3d

If you don't get the 5800X3D in time, it might become unavailable, since it's old-generation hardware it's going out soon.

A stronger GPU you can get at any time. But the 5800X3D won't help you with the 1660S in any noticeable way.

Yeah I thought the same thing. I thought about getting a 4060 or something similar. What are your thoughts about that?

Minimum wattage for the 4060 is 650 watts. 4060-TI is 750 watts. PSU.
