Os problem or ssd?

ShiroEerie

I bought a new ssd and installed a os not yet activated win10 home.

*Kingston 960gb ssd 2.5

since its a new storage i download new drive for it and for my gpu the amd andrenaline. download a few games. but within along i notice that windows virus scan was prompted that something is trying to gain access so it blocked it. then the pc comes to slow or shows error or shutdown or bsod. i tried every cmd command from:

-sfc /scannow

-dism

-chkdsk with either /f /r and another

-attributes disk clear readonly

cause it seems write protected, i did 3 clean install or format of the ssd all still leading to the same either problem.

but another thing is that before i used a hdd no problem. installed another os and games, played a few on aother hdd no problem (did not download amd andrenaline cause amdrss is showing im afraid). im guessing its the ssd but it could be just trojan or something else im not looking up to. i hope to get some insight but ill keep trying but if it doesnt work for the 5th or 6th i might considered using a warranty on it if it covers it.

specs : i5 9400

ram: 2x8gb hyperx beast 3200mhz at 2666 only since it cannot run 3200

mb: b365m ds3h gigabyte

psu: 80+ bronze fsp something

This is concerning...

but within along i notice that windows virus scan was prompted that something is trying to gain access so it blocked it.

Do you have another drive in the machine?  I know you replaced your OS drive, but is there another in it that could be harboring malicious code?

Getting someone trying to intrude right after a new drive and OS install means they were there waiting.

1. Where did you download the games & softwares from ?

2. Was a there a software you installed where the installer you already have (like maybe you stored it in your other drive / portable drive)

3. Also, I assume you made the Windows Installer using Microsoft's Windows Media Creation tool downloaded directly from Microsoft, yes ?

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post

Refresh before you reply

This!

Don't ever use an "installer" program.  Battlenet is good for Blizzard games, like Steam is for others, but you don't need an Install Manager for that texture pack in Minecraft.

1. mostly from microsoft edge which would be:

-mozilla, chrome, malwarebytes, steam, discord, winrar, vlc, hard disk sentinel, riot games valorant, epicgames, i also check the files on virustotal if there are problem so far nothing.

2. not sure. since i only connected the ssd only to minimize the checking fpr error and to my surprise it work fine for a few hours after install but after opening it again it bsod with critical process died.

3. yes i even replaced it and downloaded a new one with youtube as guide to leave no doubt again.

also should i just delete the quarantined in malwarebytes?

UPDATE!!

I'm tired on seeing the pc slow down and eventually go BSOD. with either critical process died, and another file explore.exe application error and ig-something error.

Im using my HDD atm and same process with the same Flash drive install of os no problem :), pretty sad how even on safe mode i tried SFC /scannow no use, CHKDSK /F no use, and even DISM.

Question:

1. can the issue be the new ssd kingston? or the os downloading drivers?

2. if os the other storage is fine so im only calculating that the issue could be related to the ssd.

I will try to reinstall windows again 🙂 hoping in someway it will get fix by the computer itself

When you go get a texture pack for Minecraft, you get a pop up that says Billy Bob's Install Manager or some shit.  Then the proceed to install the texture pack and like 4 other things as well.  Usually you don't want the other 4 things.

But how are you connected to the internet?  What router/modem, firewalls, etc?

You COULD have a bad SSD, but that's not something I have ever come across.

Where did you get your OS media from?  How did you make the flash drive to install it?

Something isn't right here, as an intrusion block isn't normal.  Its originating from somewhere and that is priority in finding out.
