Budget (including currency): On top of what I already have, about $2000

Country: USA - 4 hours from MicroCenter in the upper midwest. aka, kinda hard to travel there in the winter...

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Final Fantasy 14, Hoyoverse stuff, streaming, VR, etc. No shooters or racers, mostly RPGs

Other detailshttps://pcpartpicker.com/list/dqd2bL

I already bought the CPU and SSD, and will be using the mouse/keyboard/speakers/monitors from my current system that is 6 years old.

My biggest question marks right now are Mobo & PSU, and honestly the case. I'm not married to anything, but you can see I'm going for a white system. But my problem will be where the computer will sit. I like the looks of the aquarium style cases, but I won't be able to see any of it since it will be sitting to the left of my chair/desk. Why pay for all the RGBs when you can't even see them? lol. (plus i have an OLED TV that the lights will be reflecting off of. so maybe i want a no-rgb system? i honestly can't decide)

Ideally, this isn't a "buy today" type of thing. I'm doing my research now, and will be buying parts over the next couple of months. Time enough to see what the 40-Super line looks like versus the competition.

Thanks in advance for the critiques.

The Kraken and Corsair Dominator are hose jobs. That particular Montech psu is made by Channell Well and received decent reviews.

Oh wow, that's a crazy deal on that PSU... Might just snatch that up now.

One question though - I think I read that whatever your wattage comes out to on PCPartPicker, multiply it x1.5 and that's the PSU you should get. Should I go for the 1000W, or the 1200W? I'm also looking to future proof, especially if those new 40-Super cards turn out nice, and if they require more wattage or something...

Thanks

Edit: I should have added to cart - the 1000W went up to 140 right after i posted, but the 1200 is at 110.

Edit 2: lmao and now that's gone...sheesh...

I would get the LT720 instead

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

You actually don’t need 1000w you would be fine on 850
