Hello to all! New guy in forum, been watching the youtube channel for a time though...
I have a question (not so much of a problen really)...any insight is welcome! Almost every time i open my case to make an upgrade(this time it was a PSU XFX XTR 650)

or a better cable management, the temperature or rpm of ...something goes up a little! For example,i just turned on the pc and the fan speed of my Sapp.R9270X went from ~1070

to ~1120 on idle but temp remains same(27-28°C). In addition,my i5 750 which recently got a CM 212 EVO and saw 27-30° on idle(and i was super excited) now sees at about 5°C more.
This thing happens, almost, every time i seem to touch the rig to do an "inside job". No problems with stability,it's just annoying and most of the times gets back to "normal" on its own after

a few days!

Depending on how long this is going on, and how sudden things were (did you read the temps, switch it out, then read them again immediately?) It could just be that it's going into summer in the northern hemisphere, and temperatures are going up. Producing the same amount of heat energy to a warmer room will make everything hotter.

Another possibility, obviously, is dust. I assume you've been taking care of it along with the upgrades. But, if not, get on that ish!

Adding the cooler to the CPU might have shown negative results because of a bad mount, thermal paste not spreading well, or leftover thermal paste from the previous cooler causing clumping and therefore bad conduction.

The PSU just might run hotter than your other one. That PSU's fan doesn't even turn on until it reaches 25C, and then ramps gradually after that. If it's not reaching that temp, or if it's running hotter on average because the fan isn't at 100%, that could be adding heat.

Thanks to all for the replies.

Unfortunately i don't have a thermostat but it shouldn't be higher than 20°C...

Indeed, outside temps are going up a little at this time,i live in Greece, plus, i didn't think of the psu's hybrid fan function  ;)

Dust i hate(as all of us) so this shouldn't be causing it...as a matter of fact,as i write this, temps seem to have returned at previous readings B)
