Hey all, so I'm in the UK so currency is GBP.

I have the current pc specs

i7-67001

6gb 2400mhz ddr4

plait gtx1070 8gb gamerock edition.

1tb Samsung nvme SSD(not sure what one)

Asus z-170E rev2.1

I'm wanting to upgrade to make games more playable as I'm stuck on low/medium settings. My work is currently selling Asus duel RTX 3060 12gb duel OC graphics cards for £275. Iv already payed for it and it arrives next week, however, how much bottleneck am I looking at? I'm hopefully going to upgrade CPU ram and mobo soon but tight on funds so will he one part a month 😅

I want to play starfield, DCS, COD etc

what CPU/mobo would you recommend that's ddr4 and good bang for buck that will work well for the above games and GPU.

many thanks

1080P? About a 70% bottleneck, you won't see a performance improvement but it might stutter more than with the 1070.

Own 2 i7 6700K, and by 2023, it's already too dated and you should consider getting a completely new build. Even an i3-12100 completely beat the 6700K by 20% on average, and less stuttering mess, even though it's 4c8t. Just shows that IPC matter.

Not sure how you got 6GB of system RAM. Pretty sure 2GB DDR4 is only on SODIMM DDR4, and an early module.

That's a bad idea to buy parts one buy one, it's better to buy as a whole, so that if one part fails, you could at least return, or RMA.

Use back your SSD.
