Ever since i updated my work MAC from Ventura do Sonoma, finder is unable to search in my external SSD

Hello, my name is Matheus, i am a Brazillian graphic designer and since updating my MAC OS to Sonoma, it has become unable to search archives in my external drive.

The Spotlight method  i've seen online only temporarily solves the problem, as it returns in about 1 hour after.

Can someone help?

Sonoma changed some stuff with SMB, I've seen issues with SMB at work with various applications with one workstation that's running Sonoma.

 

It might be useful to eject and remount the external drive, if you haven't already.

I've already tested it with multiple External Drives and all of them got the same problem.

I unfortunately can't test any external drives on the Sonoma machine I have since its currently in use by its primary user. It very well could be a formatting issue with Sonoma disagreeing with exFAT or whatever format those external drives use.
