Need to upgrade my CPU/Mobo for CyberMonday

Omie

Budget (including currency): ~$600

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (CoD Warzone, Fortnite, MMORPG's, etc.)

Other details: Current Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WWXbCd

So I have had this PC for several years now and had to replace my GPU to a 3070 about 2 years ago. I am having a lot of low FPS issues in games and I believe it's mainly due to how old my CPU is (i7 7700k).

I want to upgrade my CPU to an updated Intel. The reason I've been putting it off so long is I need to also replace the motherboard too due to it being an old socket for anything recent. But I want to know if there is a good deal for Intel CPU/Mobo especially since it's close to Cyber Monday.

Thanks.

Yes that's understandable.

I don't want to push you, but have you considered AMD? they're not terrible, see for yourself:

Thanks but I’m never going AMD for personal reasons.

That's a decent deal ^^

Here is what I came up with for my new PC:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xkCDkJ

Compared to my old build, I added the i7 13700k, Asus TUF GAMING Z790 Plus Wifi, 2TB M.2, and 32Gb of DDR5 RAM since DDR4 isn’t compatible with the mobo and if I’m upgrading I think I should switch to DDR5 anyways. Those upgrades are going to cost me $1000 after tax.

I know the part list says the H115i cooler is incompatible but it looks like the screws will still work from the LGA1151 socket after researching.
