yup

you will need to jump start the PSU or have a button connected to your motherboard to start it up.

How will i know if everything is working properly?

well you connect it to a screen and a keyboard, then go into bios. Check everything shows up correctly, and temps are good. Then youre good to go :)

So i can still access the bios even without a gpu? Only reason im asking this is because my gpu wont b in until a week so just wondering if i can start piecing everything together and make sure everything is working.

does your motherboard have an onboard video output? (like a DVI or HDMI port on the rear IO)

Uhh im not too sure. Here is my motherboard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128651

No it doesnt :( so its not much use to power on your moo if you cant see that it is working correctly...

You should wait until you have the money for all your parts before buying stuff.
