Pc Build a bit to expensive AND advice Mini-ITX

Kenji02

Hi, So I kinde have 2 questions but they depend on eachother.

1. I have been using laptop for gaming for like 7 or 8 years now. Never really been a fan cus performance isnt always great and it's very very hot. The one reason is cus my parents our divorced so moving is more eazy with a laptop thn a desktop. But now my laptop is having trouble when it comes to gaming so I'm considering buying a desktop. First I was looking just at all computers but thn I saw the 'Mini-ITX' cases and those look the best for moving every week to my mom or dad. The only thing I kinde am scared of is the cooling in a smaller case. Because if the temperatures are bad, I am just probably not even going to consider buying a desktop I think. Any advise for that? or tips?

2. My second question, me and my friend have been looking on pcpartpicker for a good pc with a mini-itx. But what we made is for me a bit too expensive. https://be.pcpartpicker.com/list/RwZWfy this is the link of the parts. Me and my friend dont really have any good experience in the IT. So dont judge us for this setup. I love some adivce to decrease the price a bit. I was more looking for like 1400 - 1500 bucks for it. (I live in Belgium if you had to know for prices or stuff in a different location)

Would love some advice about these things, I know there is a lot you can find on the internet, but that's the thing there is A LOT. So many different things which is good but also difficult in my opinion.

PS. rgb is not something that needs to be in my pc, would look nice but it isnt necessary

I wanted to add a PS for the rgb, forgot that small part

You could save a lot of money and get better parts by going normal ATX.  Is mini ITX really needed ?

You can go with the 7600 non X ( 2-3% slower than the X ) and it comes with a stock cooler that is more than adequate to cool it. saving you 110 bucks on a cooler / AIO.

Small cases are perfectly fine if you spec the build properly. It won't get any warmer than your laptop would, and almost certainly substantially better. Especially since you're looking at larger ITX cases.

mITX will always be more expensive, usually because of the motherboard and power supply.

If any, you could save a good bit by getting the NR200P Max instead, which comes with a 280mm AIO and PSU. A solid barebones-ish case.

TBH, AM5 mITX motherboards kind of suck. The best designed one that I chose I ended up needing to RMA, being the B650 Aorus Ultra. They all have little fans on them beside the A620 models, which will hold back a 7600x's max performance. The system the B650 Aorus Ultra used to be in was replaced by an i5-13500, since I had no faith in it anymore. It now runs my TV and the i5-13500 is running reliably across the country.

I was thinking to use a mini itx cus every friday I move from my dad to my mom's house or other way around. And if it's a big pc it's maybe/probably a little dificult to move all the time. So MAYBE (i am not sure) with a mini itx it would take less space in the car and a bit more eazy to move. I could be wrong tho, or that it is not that big of a difference.

Doesn't really make that much difference.  There are smaller ATX cases like the Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact or Phanteks Eclipse P300A.

I have carried my massive Corsair 760T around for years without much problems. Its just takes up a bit more space 🙂

ooh k, good to know. I always had the impression that there is a big difference; But I also have never seen a mini itx next to an ATX case in real life. So I am just fully going on pictures online. thanks

The good thing is, I got a monitor and keyboard in the 2 locations. so I dont need to move those, so it's just the desktop

No worries!" have a look at this link here.  This includes the Fractal Design Meshify C  It comes with 2 fans and I did double check that the 7800XT does fit inside this case.  Its a beautiful case and the price is resonable.
