DIY NAS PSU

Rysters Tech

Im looking to replace the psu in my nas, as its a 15 year old hp 300w unit (it is standard atx). Im only running 2 hard drives (but would like to be able to expand to 5) and my max load power draw is <200 watts. Im constrained on psu length 139mm thanks to my case and looking for something with low idle noise. I have a max budget of 80 dollars.

get a pico psu it will run very efficient and no fan. you can go as low as 5w idle. you run the power from external adaptor.
