Hello Everyone!
I have recently bought an R9 270X VGA, and i doubt that the zero core feature is properly working in my system.
I have uninstalled the old one, and istalled the latest driver properly.
After the monitor goes to standby state, as far as i know the fans on the VGA should stop spinning, meaning the GPU enters zerocore state.
However this not happens, as the phase indicator leds, and the fans all remain on after the pc goes standby.

Do you have any ideas what could cause the problem?
Also i am using PCI-E 2.0, not 3.0, so i dont know whether this low power state works with 2.0. (might be the problem?)

Any suggestion is helpful for me,
Thank you!

don't you need to use that in combination with an amd apu so it'll use the onboard gpu instead of the 270

Nope, nothing is being displayed then you dont need a working gpu.

I've read that it might not work if you're using hdmi iirc

I am using DVI output.

It switches off your second card - but not the first

Yes it does switch off your first , or only GPU. (at least it should , as in my case)

Anyone else?
