the wifi is very limited and disconnects randomly. everyone else is fine when connected to the wifi. its just one computer out of the household with the problem. i usually get problems with this one computer regarding wifi, but it wasnt this bad. ive done scans with avast and malwarebytes, and nothing have been detected.

let me know additional information is required.

the router is on the main floor and the computer is in the second floor almost directly above the room with the router. other laptops in the house dont have any problems with the internet speed. im currently using a usb network adapter to replace a pcie network adapter that had similar problems. this is the worst its been.

From a little bit of research, I saw another solution to getting internet to the room of the problematic computer, power line. Is this alternative worth switching to assuming that the problem may be caused by a software hiccup between the computer and the WiFi adapter?
