This legit?

Go to solution Solved by Volbet,

A NVidia/ATI card that run both AGP and PCIe. It run at the wrong clockspeed, has GDDR3 insted of GDDR5, and lastly, it's from Aliexpres, the biggest scam since Nigerian royalty.

Yes, this is a scam. Don't buy it.

Hi, so I just came across this GTX660ti for $87 http://www.aliexpress.com/item/GTX660Ti-2GB-384bit-2048MB-DDR3-Nvidia-Geforce-PC-Desktop-Video-Card-Graphi-Card-for-Games-Wholesale/1506452210.html?af=ppc&isdl=y&src=Google&albch=Google&albcp=Search_Search-ALL-PLA&albkw=None_Shopping-Search-Product-AliExpress_none_none&albag=home_none_Search-Search-All-PLA-UK_1013999999988&albmt=broad&albst=search-text&albom=OTHERS_None_20130807_Aliexpress&creative=45157588921&ptsid=1013999999988&gclid=CI_VuML6tb4CFfShtAodgxAARA , but I've never seen it before and don't even know the manufacturer (also the cooler looks crap), however for £50 I don't think you can go wrong. My question is am I missing something here? is this legit? and also if the answer is yes, would I be able to run this in SLI with my current palit 660ti as I know you can mix manufactures, but this is abit different. cheers guys.

Well I mean, they didn't even read there own picture correctly.

It says GDDR3 in the Pic, and DDR3 in the title.

If its from Ali Express and you have to question if its legit, it most likely isn't.

Someone might be able to find out for sure, but usually its not great

Its a re-branded GK95 or something of the same scale. The real 660(ti)'s run a GK 104 core.

Just don't buy GPU's from them, they will most likely sell you a 7 year old GPU from ATI with a GTX 680 label on it.

Spoiler

Case Bitfenix Ghost, Mobo Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, CPU i7 6700K @4.2 Ghz cooled by Arctic cooling Freezer i30, (barely). GPU Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 @1519Mhz core, RAM 16Gb Crucial Ballistix CL16 @2400Mhz. SSD 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus as my OS drive. HDD's  1TB  Seagate ST31000524AS its OEM, 3TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x 500GB WDC Blue (RAID 0)

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.

obviously not.

Look at the GDDR3, the shader count, pixel fillrate, texture fillrate, and bus width

They probably take something like a GTX 270 and force-flash the 660Ti BIOS to it and market it as a 660Ti.

@XtremeTechGaming and I came across this a few weeks ago in school at lunch and we nearly wet our pants laughing.

Dem spelling erros tho... (<- pun intended)
