CM Hyper TX3 EVO. Worth it?

Hey y'all,

I'm looking for a very cheap air cooling to overclock my 3570k.I happen to have a very good chip so,no reason not to try with a cheap cooler.

Something is wrong with my stock cooler's sockets and it's not making good contact with the IHS and i'm sitting idle at 55C.

 

And i found this one for only 20 euro. Anyone here owning it?

 

 

NOTE: Do not tell me to spent 10 more bucks and get the 212 evo or anything else. This is a temporary,cheap solution till i get my precious H100i.

How long till the h100i? If not that long and the stocks doing fine then just wait and save all the $$$

Well, I can't sit with the stock. I have undervolted my cpu and it's sitting at 50+C on idle.

Currently saving money for the H100i, maybe 1 month.

Idles dont mean spuat from what everyone says. 40 aint that bad. My h100I sits around 40C idle on a 4770k. Dont know what ur complaining about lol

Maybe this will help you understand if 50C idle don't mean squat.

Cinebench for 8 seconds, 96C.

 

As i said again,temporary because there is no way in hell i won't get the h100i ;)

The thermaltake contac 21 is better in this price range, i have used it on my brother's Q6600 and we overclocked to 3 GHz 1.25V 60 °C under load.

 

On the other hand, there is almost nothing which is significantly cheaper than 20€ but performs significantly better than an intel stock cooler, so I'd actually stick with the stock cooler. Save those 20€ and invest in beer instead.

Why not an aircooler instead of the h100i?

Because i don't like big air coolers aesthetically speaking.

@ManIkWeet It is undervolted so,it's not giving any extra heat.

Because I don't think it completely works that way...

The voltage affects the temperature,not the clock.

It won't make any difference but i'll try

If I overclock my graphics card with +200mhz on the core and same voltages, I get more heat

Yup,dropped like 2-3 degrees  ;)

a friend of mine has it and it is a very good choice for its price, he overcloced his q6600 to 3.2 ghz.
