A few months ago I built a budget gaming pc for around $600. I got a FX-6300 processor and decided to overclock it. It is my first time overclocking so I watched and read many tutorials. When I was ready to start overclocking, I first started CPU-Z, Core Temp, and prime95 to run on my cpu at stock to begin with. For some reason in Core Temp it saids my tjmax is 52 degrees!? I started prime95 and watched as the temperature reached 47 degrees but I then turned it off not knowing what would happen if it reached 52 degrees. If someone could explain this problem to me it would be much appreciated.

I have attached a screenshot of Core Temp

Well I know I didn't want to hit over 75 degrees (personally) but my tjmax is 52 degrees so........

You can run 62c, AMD temp sensors are kinda garbage so I'd consider that.

Your 1st core is throttling, you need to disable some things in BIOS. (Cool and quiet, C1E, enable HPC mode)

Also your board isn't really ideal for overclocking FX, 4+1 phase VRM from MSI is not good :/
