Hello, sometimes when I play Fortnite my pc just restarts itself, I don't have this problem when I am using the PC regularly or playing any other game. I just recently got a new CPU cooler since my old one was not doing a good job at cooling my CPU down when I tried to play spiderman but now it doesn't get hot around that area anymore and everything seems fine until I play Fortnite for awhile. I think It could be my motherboard overheating I did check my pc status and it did record that I got -

Event (41) kernel Power

Task category (63)

Also I checked temperatures and i'm no expert but everything looks good so I don't know the problem

PC components

Processor -  Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)

If it just happens in fortnite, and not other games, then I doubt that it is a hardware issue.

Can you give us more details:

What temps does the CPU and GPU reach?

What other games do you play that have no isses?

What steps have you taken to troubleshoot this issue? (Have you tried reinstalling fortnite? I assume you have but I have to ask)

What are your computers components?

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

PSU- Cool Master Model #: RS-550-PCAR-N1

i am using it on 115 input voltage

Yeah replace that its a low end low qualiry psu that is underpowered for your system

Fortnite is not an easy to run game as people say and can put a heavy load on the cpu if you have enough gpu power which you do

Basically you are asking too much power from the thing. Good chance if you say lock to 60fps or downclock the cpu and gpu a bit it wont emergency shutdown
