S70 blade

i was thinking of going with a wd sn 770 which usually cost around 63.66$ but its selling for around 84.08$ from last 2 months which is not worth it 

i found gammix s70 blade which is selling for around 66.06$ rn , is this the best in this price segment or are there any other i should consider checking on

but was a bit confused as seller site and official site have listing of different write speed idk why 

btw i wanted to know more about ssds especially like dram, speed ,tbw

DRAM is kinda like a roadmap for where files are located on the drive. If you're doing a ton of very small file transfers, it will improve speed quite a bit, but the non-DRAM SSDs have gotten good enough that it's no longer really considered a necessity (personally my main system is running DRAM-less SSDs for games with no real downside). Speeds are weird, since there's the max possible throughput in ideal conditions, random performance, and other stuff in between. Most of the time the only time you'll see max throughput is if you're copying large files (I.E. movies), so not really that relevant, and in more standard conditions you want to look more at random performance, though even then there's a point of diminishing returns for most people. TBW is how long the drive will last, though do consider that unless you're constantly rewriting the entire drive that's not likely to matter all that much. For reference, my main boot drive (MSI M470 1TB) I've had running for almost 2 years, and the usage is currently sitting at 5 TBW, out of a listed endurance of 1600 TBW, so at this current rate the drive will last 640 years. 

 

That drive is very good if it's less than an SN770, though I'd probably look at some lower end options to see if you can save a bit of money.

the cheap ones are either 500gb one , and the 1tb versions are pcie 3 with like 3k read and write speed like that crucial p3 5oogb i showed you

Do note that they swapped the NAND in S70 blade for worst 128l TLC YMTC ( that like to fail, just because, TBW irrelevant ).

and do bother, that DRAMless SSD in HBM store only small fragment of the data. SSD usually use up only like 32MB of RAM, that could map out only 32GB of the data. So good enough for benchmark, not so much if you want to access some old data if latency do matter.
the old random reads to suffer. But it all come to the point, if we can afford it, or not.

so it also have that 128I TLC YMTC?

and i should consider going to a diff ssd if yes then which one will be most reliable 

i dont want it be fail in just few yrs , seeing the price i am paying for it

KC3000 is similar to 850x in performance, faster than 980 pro and s70 blade.
Good NAND 176l TlC micron, and good controller Phison E18 with DRAM

the ADATA legend 960 is usually just little worse than KC3000, and 850x, but faster than 980 pro.
it’s also on the same good nand 176l TLC micron, and good controller SM2264 with DRAM.

If you want to safe some money, then Adata 960 1TB is OK.  

it’s top tire SSD, much better then s70 blade, but only little worse than KC3000.

they use the same NAND, so only small differences in controllers performance.

The only good alternative is SN580 1TB for Rs. 5040, but that more for the data, games etc, light use, as it’s also DRAMless entry level performance SSD. So around 2 tire below Adata 960 in performance. 

But I have seen it for as low as 40$ on amazon.com for 1TB, so that price is not so good for it. Would say it’s rather high.

yeh the lowest i can get this is for 45$, and tbh i think i should get a better ssd for os and will thing about data next time buying a bigger size one
