Plex server question

So as a project before I build my first pc, I decided to upgrade my old emachine that I haven’t used in a few years. Would these specs be good enough to run as a Plex server?

 

 

windows 10

16 gigs ram

athelon Ii x4 635 

and and FirePro w2100?

No. That CPU is no where near powerful enough to do on the fly encoding, and that GPU doesn't really have an encoder capable of doing it either.

And to go somewhat against what the comment above says, it's enough for a server as long as none of your clients need to have things transcoded. I ran a server on an Athlon 64 X2 4600+? and it was fine since none of my clients needed to have content transcoded.

Thanks! Tried running Plex to my tv from some of the movies I have ripped and it is working perfectly!
