pc just... doesn't boot sometimes?

Go to solution Solved by lafrente,

Sometimes having to press multiple times just.. happens. Don't need to bother unless it refuses to boot. It has nothing to do with total power of your PSU. I had 750w on 300w system and same thing occured.

I am only able to access my pc from wednesday-saturday which means that it is powered off most of the rest of the week. This has been happening for as long as I can remember, I just finally decided to do something about it. My thoughts are that it could have something to do with my underpowered PSU (450 watts, pcpartpicker says that my pc should be drawing slightly more than that). Usually I just try again and it works, but once or twice I have had to try a 3rd time. I noticed that it is pretty 50/50 as well.

Any kind of overclocks? When I overclocked my RAM initially, I had instability issues where it would start sometimes and not others.

I actually haven't noticed it getting that hot

You mean the exhausted air feels ok ?

Actually, it makes sense. Heat is proportionnal to the load and efficiency not to the MaxWattage. My mistake.

(but 400W is a decent amount of watts)
